On May 15 & 16, 2015, the Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The State Summer Games hosts 1,800 athletes competing in track & field, bocce, cycling, soccer, tennis and volleyball. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of this year’s Healthy Athletes-Special Smiles’ volunteers, 675 athletes received oral screenings, fluoride varnish treatment, and oral hygiene instruction, at the 2015 Special Olympics Florida Summer Games. Sue Kassoff-Correia was a volunteer for this event and provided dental hygiene services to the athletes.
